I meant to say I am interested in the 1/48th scale Hasegawa F-106 model. Hasegawa has a 1/72nd scale F-106 model available. Anyone seen or built the 1/72nd scale model?

Anyone hear anything about a 1/48th scale 106 that Hasegawa is going to make? I know that they make 1/72nd scale 106. I haven't heard that one yet. Are you sure you're not thinking of that Hasegawa, Japan-only release a few years ago of the old Monogram kit? The only difference was the box markings and the decals. It came with 318th and 159th decals made by Aeromaster. (See my review on www.modelingmadness.com Set number 48-509.) People on the plastic model web sites have been begging for a new-mold F-106 kit in 1/48 and 1/72 for years. It would be nice but so far we're still stuck with the original Monogram 1/48 and the Hasegawa 1/72. If you hear anything official regarding any new molds be sure to let me know!! Mark

A new Hasegawa 106 would be great. For that matter so would a 102.
I have several 1/72nd kits and about 6 106 kits on my list of future building projects.
I'm getting ready to do a collection of as many of the aircraft the 5th flew as I can.
Does anyone know what version Spitfire they flew or what markings they carried?

I built one of the 1/72 106's many, many moons ago. Hasegawa was one of the better quality kits, but that was a long time ago, almost 20 years.
