I just think this is an awesome picture. :2thumbsup Had to share it on FaceBook. This is my comment with the picture. "This is a awesome photo of a F-106 Jet Interceptor. Reminds me of those early foggy mornings when we would take a jet to the trim pad for power run-ups. Loved to select afterburner with that loud bang and roar that would start waking up Lakewood, Parkland, Spanaway, & Tacoma. Wouldn't take long and I'd get a radio call from McChord's Tower asking & requesting that I not run in full afterburner to long and expedite the engine run. I'd often reply, "Sorry I have maintenance run checks to complete so this jet can go on alert." The tower would usually come back with, "We are getting lots of telephone noise complaints." My radio reply sometimes would be, "Roger that McChord Tower, but its the sound of freedom." Sure miss those mornings." LOL This photo came off our F-106 website and from a squadron page. Likely out of someones collection. I have a very bad headcold and sinus infection. Little sleep last night and hate searching for something when this sick. Did plently last night making a video only because I could not sleep. Would be greatful for the squadron and the photographer's name. :thanks Attachments:

Not B&W, not an F-106, but that photo reminded me of a few photos I took down at Homestead ARB, FL back in May, 2010. To be honest, my lens was foggier than the air, but it made for an interesting shot. This is my B&W version of the same plane. I set the camera specifically to B&W to take this shot.
