A pretty sad place to be at the time , knowing we were viewing the last of the F-106,s . My comments to our escort may of had some bearing when i said you should,nt be shooting them down, you should be preserving them . Well i am glad 90043 made it lets just hope she is looked after now scan0033 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0034 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0035 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0036 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0037 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0038 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0039 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0040 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0041 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0042 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0044 by eagle driver, on Flickr scan0045 by eagle driver, on Flickr

Had to go look at my last vacation pictures. Yes indeed, the tail number at Dover is 023. Everytime I visit my daughters family I take the granddaughters out to the Dover Air Base Museum. Attachments:

Hi pat yes mate , have just posted email to you ,with a yes to your request Got it, thanks Bob. Just sent you an email back. Niot sure why it wouldn't take the name, but I changed your displayed name. Your actual user name (logon name) remains as-is. Now we need an avatar for you :2thumbsup

Speaking of Tyndall, here's a shot of 57-0245 from November 1979. The photographer says it was from the 95th FITS of the ADWC. I asked Erv about this (in fact it was one of the last e-mail conversations we ever had) and he told me it was right after he retired from Tyndall. This was right after ADC went away and became TAC so he thinks they were experimenting with TAC markings. Obviously it never took! www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/605300.htmlErv's 57-0245 page... www.convairf-106deltadart.com/570245Page.htmlAn interesting bit of F-106 history. Mark

Excellent photos of some great birds. I have some fond memories of working on MA-1 and AN/ASQ25 Weapons System in hanger 5. That was one big sucker. I was TDY to Tyndal from 539th in 1966-67 when the YF-12A was displayed in Hanger 5. It was restricted area then because of classified nature of YF-12A, the Interceptor version of SR71. I was impressed by the multiple lock-on/track capability of its Weapons System/Radar.
