I haven't seen that particular version. The video clips were my favorite parts, as we've all seen the stills. Good stuff! Me an the Cornfield Bomber back in 2000 at the museum...

Good video story about the Cornfield Bomber, including an interview with Major Foust, the pilot who took the Six off the runway, but rode the silk elevator after departing the bird.
I suspect the interview may have been filmed about the time of the Six Reunion.

Caught me on that one, MOW.
Guess it helps to look at more than the Recent Posts and other up front things.
I am sure I am not alone on missing this video.

Nope, the Six on base is staying on base.
It is outside the Flightline Fence, next to the old 5th FIS area, 56-0460.
The Six the Museum is getting is from Tuscon, 59-0043, I think.
It is supposed to be in process, being demiled and whatever else needs to be done for it to be transported to Minot.
It is an odd situation, as there will be two Sixes within 15 miles of eachother.
I asked the curator about that, and he said the AF wanted the one on base to stay there.
So, they put in a request for the one at Tuscon, and will be getting it.
That is good, as the only time those not authorized on base would be able to see the on base Six, is on Northern Neighbors Day, when there is a base open house.
However, it does deprive another museum having a Six to display.
They hope to get it soon, so they can ready it for display during the Winter months, when the museum is closed.
The curator is supposed to let me know when it is there and when the dedication will be.
I would like to be able to be there for the dedication.
I will keep you posted, when I find out anything.

So the Dakota Territory Air Museum is going to get 59-0043? It's actually being prepped now? Can you give the curator my email address? I want info and photos to keep the Display page up to date? www.f-106deltadart.com/photo_gallery/index.php/Static-Displays/590043-F-106A

Watched the accompanying F-106B first flight video and noticed the fences on the wings. Thought they were removed as a result of flight testing of the "A". Did the "B" enter production with the fences?

What I found interesting about the first flight of B Model was it did not have MA-1 system. The radar rack looks like an instrumentation setup. But it did show a good view of the coffin rack area. Since the rear seat on b model is where both aft electronic racks are located on A model, all components from the left and right aft racks were moved to the long rectangular coffin rack. And that rack was a pain in the arse. It had to be removed every 25 hours so they could clean the heat exchanger. And being assigned to Tyndall for 4 years, we had a chitload of B models. So we got very proficient in removing and reinstalling the coffin rack. Worst part was safety wiring all the cannon plugs. Bes design was being able to get to the plugs from 05 (bottom electronics compartment) area. They had to move the desiccants for radar waveguide pressure pump to the right side instead of mounted to aft bulkhead of 05 compartment. Brings back some fond memories. Lorin
