All Wood Wings: F-106 Delta DartI got an all wood Six made in the Philippines a long time ago painted 87th FIS' 231 Commanders bird. Need to take a picture of it I guess

Nope. 87th 1974-1976 time period. Enoughof a Hint Lee No way. I took this photo in 1979 during the airshow and it wass till the CC's bird.

231 must have had a second life as the Commander's aircraft. It was Lt Col John Perkins aircraft from 1974 - 1976. The reason I know that is I pulled it off the schedule quite a few times so the "boss" could take it to the "Springs". Perk now lives in the Seattle area. I left the 87th in 1977 so it must have come back around. Incidentally, what is that sign in the bachground of the picture??? Ugh Lee
