This is a Boeing product most people have forgotten about, if they ever knew about it. It was one fantastic machine. Too bad the day of amphibious airliners was so short. The PanAm Clippers flew from Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay during the war for the Navy. Many of the routes PanAm flew were mapped out by Charles and Anne Lindbergh in a specially built Lockheed Serius with floats. i think i saw indiana jones get on one...it was with paa...in one of his movies

My dad worked on them as a mechanic for Pan Am during the war. The one in Indiana Jones is a CG rendering of a museum bird on display near the Oakland airport.
