Just got back from a week in Minneapolis to attend daughter's wedding. 1000 miles in 15 hours. 2 days mid 70's, 2 days rain and 3 days 95-100 and humid.
60 miles south of Minny is Owatonna Degner Regional Airport. Used to be an air museum there but I heard it went bankrupt. They still had this eye catching display on the side of I-35.
Three T-38 Talon Thunderbirds on sticks in bomb burst display.

That is from a long time ago- I sent 2 of my best troops to the Thunderbirds when austerity hit the AF and they went to the cheapest way to keep the team..... We at Willie Airplane Patch did all of the overhaul work on flt cont actuators, engine/csd couplings, speed brake packages and the mixer assemblies... We use to get a lot of Thunderbird PR items - photos, t-shirts etc................. The Old Sarge
