I would be most honored if you made a clock, and as far as I'm concerned, you qualify to go!

oh, crap, if you guys start man hugging we're gonna have to rename this thread, KISS KISS HISS OMG! Thanks for the laugh! I have to say, the first thing of I thought of was this GEICO commercial. "Is the gentleman with the brostache invited to this party?" www.geico.com/about/commercials/LMAO!! Now that I got that off my chest, whenever I think of the 49th I remember my dad telling me about being stationed at Griffiss before I was born. When he got out of the USAF we lived in Utica for some time when I was a kid. This was in the late 60s, and as I recall we left Utica, moved to Tennessee for a very, short time, then to Washington state. I imagine this was around 1968 when the 49th got their Sixes, as I started kindergarten in 1969 in Chelan, WA. I must have just missed the F-106s, but was definitely there for the F-101s. No, I don't remember them, but my dad probably does. I'll have to ask him sometime. Mark The closest I ever got to a 49th FIS Six. This was back in 2000. They won't even let you touch the planes these days at the USAF Museum, but I was able to wipe hydraulic fluid off the bottom of this one back then!

I got to Griffiss AFB in 1969, was assigned to the hydraulic shop, remmeber the practic loading and ORI's and the guys with the fake line badges. Phade dock was right outside the front of the hydraulic shop. Which I remember origionally was our supply point before we took it over. We were located in the hall way next to the maintenance officers area, and then you went into the sheetmetal shop. Many moon's ago, andf the snow in winter was a lot. Anyone else remember of this?
