Got this off Facebook. Aircraft Maintenance page. C-141 is leaving McGuire AFB, NJ and mist/condensation flowing over the wings. Thought it an interesting photo. Attachments:

thats not so unusual at mcguire. its surrounded by the jersey pinelands, a unique micro environment found only in nj, with millions of pine trees and cypress groves. the mud they use on new baseballs comes from a cedar stream in the pinelands. it's also not far from the ocean, so that whem it's humid, which is most of the time, the air compression around the wings results in this effect. humidity lately has been ranging between About 50 to 85%, one of the reasons i cant wait to get to AZ, lol

Attended a Indy Car race in Newton Ia. and you could see the mist going over the rear wing of the race car. Kind of neat. Humidity was very high at race time. :us_flag

 just found this...how long ago was a 22 cent stamp the 1st class stamp?? found a partial book of 22 centers in with this photo... its in the iso dock... i was on top of hangar 4 at mcchord. when i came back inside i saw a catwalk circling the hangar.. shot this with a 35mm and then went back for a 4X5 and shot it in B&W.. the next week the chief of maint. had a 20X24 hanging in his office... and i hand him in the proverbial pocket..   |
