Last sunday, we had our annual open cockpit day at the air museum. We had another big turnout to see the many aircraft on display, and many cockpits were open for the public to view. My thanks to Joe Pruzzo, my Wife Sandy, and my two Sons, Dean and Chris for helping me to show F106A-572456. We gave it a good wash and wax on thursday and friday, and it looked great all weekend. We had a large group from the Pacific Air Museum at Santa Rosa, and they were impressed with what they saw . We also made some contacts with the group at McClellan Air museum. Chris Carey was there in his complete Pilots uniform. He wore the orange flight suit, carried a parachute and an authentic helmet with the 5th FIS logos. Ralph

HI Ralph. That was a great 'open cockpit day' you guys held and standing up there on the crew ladder looking at the old gal close-up really made my day. Although you beat us to the punch, we've (McClellan Air Museum) just taken possession of ex-5th FIS 59-0010 after a long struggle and subsequent to some restoration work, we'll finally have our own Six to drool over and get all maudlinly nostalgic about. You, Joe, and all the others at Castle really deserve kudos for all your own hard work retrieving and putting your bird where it is now--the unquestioned 'star' of the Castle Century Series collection.

Ralph Robledo has supplied pictures of the 2007 Open Cockpit Day at Castle Air Museum. Click on the image and begin the slide show Ralph continues to do an outstanding job of keeping his Darts and Daggers in excellent condition - check out the new RAT he installed. Ralph is looking for a Genie mock up. They have a trailer for it already. Any body know where he might find a Genie? Congratulations Ralph on another successful OCD at CAM. Pat Perry 456th FIS
