456th Pilot Keith Young sent this link... Subject: " USAF Museum..Amazing Virtual Tour ..." This might be one of the most advanced sights I have ever been in. If this is a sign of the future, Wow! 1. Click on the “MAP” in the upper right hand corner to bring down a visual menu of the different sites within the museum...... 2. then click on a “dot” within that site to view the exhibits from that camera angle.......... Don't forget to look upward because a lot of aircraft hang from the ceiling. 3. and then click and follow the arrows around the exhibits. It doesn't get much cooler than this! www.nmusafvirtualtour.com/full/tour-pkg.htmlPat P. :teacher

WOW! what a tour. What markings are on the 106. #787. It must have been changed during the restoration since the original tail markinges were from the 71st FIS. Correct me if wrong. Once more, thanks a bunch - good thread :thanks :2thumbsup :salute

787 is wearing the 49 Eagle, since that was her last stopping point before the museum. I've got several pics of her if you want some.

Also known as the CornField Bomber, as it made a pilotless landing in a snow covered cornfield..... There are pics of it somewhere here on the Forum.......... The Old Sarge edited to add link it has pictures as wellm as commentary from a lot of people www.f-106deltadart.com/71fis_PilotlessLanding_580787.htm
