To-day at Randolph AFB, there was a commerative flight of a T-37. Whoops! T-38. It was to recognize the 50th anniversary of the T-37, really T-38, being in active service. The bird that was flown had a retired pilot in the back seat, who flew the T-37 , yep, T-38, in training some 50 years-ago. The information office says that over 70,000 pilots have trained in the T-37, not again, yes, T-38. It has also been on the top of the safety list all those years. An enviable record. Jim Too

Yep, my brain was saying T-38, and my forgetful fingers were typing the Tweety Bird.
And would you believe I proofread it before posting it.
Oh, Well!
Senior moment.
The Tweet retired last year. At least for our Air Force.
There are other countries still flying the A-37/T-37, as well as the F-5 and T-38.
Makes you wonder if the Puzzle Palace is going to get serious about replacing the T-38.
Seeing the newest ones have been around for a long. long time, it is due for replacement.

I think the T-38 is one of the most beautiful airplanes in the world. Going back 50 years it still it still is cool.
