According to some of the locals at the Hill Aerospace Museum in Utah, they are hoping to have the F-106 painted and ready for display at the June 12-13, 2004 Air Show. They are accepting donations at Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah P.O. Box 612 Roy, UT 84067 The 456th FIS Alumni have made contributions. This aircraft 58-0774 was assigned to Castle in 59-61 according to Hill's research. I have requested restoration progress pictures. Will let you know more if/when I hear it. See their web site at www.hill.af.mil/museum/

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that I have to go TDY to Hill AFB next week (Feb 06-12) and will try to get a few pictures of the restored F-106 to send to the website.

Hello,
I just returned from my TDY to Hill AFB. The F-106 is now located inside the main building at the back of the room (center). It is next to the F4 Phantom. I took several pictures and am willing to upload them to this website. Who do I need to send them to, etc?
By the way, the 106 is not complete. As you will be able to see from my photos, the foward avionics bay is virtually empty and the radar is gone (no doubt part of the drone conversion process). There is also damage to the afterburner exhaust nozzle.
Regards, Lee Stanford
