Must have been across the field from us when we lost one on takeoff during the conversion. Lost one more in CA due to pitchup, two ejections, RO was a casualty. There's an F model on a stick in Proctor in memory of the crew that died in the first accident. Both were Proctor natives

I left Duluth for Minot in October of 1971. I was unaware of this crash until today. I'm sorry to hear about it. I stayed at DLH with the T-33s when the 87th moved to KI Sawyer in April 1971. It didn't take me long to piss off the right people and they "screwed" me by getting me orders to Minot. All they did by "screwing" me that way was to get me in a really good F-106 unit (87th sucked back then...) and keep me from going to Viet Nam. Thanks, guys!
