Type your post here first. Make sure it's it's finished and use spell check (optional).
Scroll back up to the Attachment: line. Click "Browse" and locate the picture you want to post from your PC. When you select it, Click "Open" and the path to it will appear in the blank space on the Attachment: line.
Scroll to the bottom and Click on "Post Message". When you see the finished post it will show the pic you uploaded. When you click on that pictire it will take you to the full size version you uploaded.

Below is a link that will allow you to view or download the example of the post I just made. It is an Adobe Acrobat file. If you download it make sure the file name has a .pdf file extension on it. This will tell your PC to use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open it. Pat P.

Using this built in forum feature allows you to post one picture or attachment, up to one megabyte in size, to a post you create in the forum. If you have multiple pictures to post, you will have to create multiple posts. This takes a little longer but enables you to tell a story about each picture you post. The good news is that if you use this built in feature your pictures will remain here.
OR
You can add multiple pictures in a single post by using one of the many picture storage or hosting sites on the Internet that allow you to link your pictures to forums. I use WebShots, as does our Webmaster Pat McGee, to link pictures to this forum.
If you are already a member of a photo storage or hosting site, read up and see if they provide link hosting priviledges with your membership. The only bad news is that if you ever quit your membership in the picture storage / hosting site, all your picture links to this forum will be severed.
Thanks, Pat

Great post Pat. In fact I'm going to send the link over to my VFW Forums at www.vfw10216.proboards.com (which is pretty dead) because one of the guys (one of the very few that go in there) asked about this same topic. I replied saying to come over here for advice... go figure. Good timing

Old Sarge, I am testing this again but this time I'm going to select Preview before I select Post Reply.
Pat P.
Edit: And sure enough, the picture was lost when I selected Preview first then Post Reply. There's probably a logical explanation for the way this program works the way it does. But they key is to make sure you don't select Preview after you have posted the picture.
You may also notice that when you quote a post with an embedded picture using this Forum picture posting feature, the quoted text will show up OK on your post, but the picture will be absent.

Correct. If you preview it, the attachment is gone and you have to do it again. I don't know why, some programmers attempt at humor maybe, or just a late night out prior to writing the code.
