From Joe Pruzzo, Director of Castle Air Museum. P39 Aircobra is found intact After more than 60 years a P39 Aircobra is found intact! (Harrison Radiator in it!) The story is about 4 minutes in length and one you will enjoy, especially if you are old enough to remember WW II. link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid34757272001?bclid=0&bctid=87804472001There's a Rosie the Riviter story buried in this one. It's amazing that WW2 planes are still being found, in water, jungles, deserts and under the Greenland Ice Pack.
They are treasures.
Without doubt, it will cost far more, and take much longer, to rebuild the P-40 than several squadrons would have cost when they were new.
It will be worth it to have that plane as a heritage of WW2.

I saw an airocobra at the Dayton USAF Museum and there was also the engine with its cannon that fired through the prop spinner on display right next to it. I think there is also a P-39 at the Kalamazoo air zoo. Very cool looking plane.
