This was recently posted on the F-101voodoo guestbook:
Hey all you Dart Doctors, if you know of any VooDoo Witch Doctors in or around Texas please email Tom Mitchell at the Tyler Historic Aviation Memorial Museum (THAMM) at tommitchell@suddenlink.net or call him at 903-769-3066. He needs some guidance or direct help in removing the tail section and wings of an F-101 in Ft Worth TX that is shortly headed for the scrap heap if they don't pick it up ASAP.
They have a transport truck, a fine staff of restoration folks who have never worked a F-101 and a partial set of Tech Orders. What they really need is some F-101 aircraft maintenance or crew chief experience to help them get this aircraft ready to travel back to Tyler, TX.
I'm sure they would make you a guest of honor at the July 3rd Wings over Tyler Airshow [www.tylerhamm.org] .
Here's a page on the F-4D they restored that Troy Curnutte's father flew in Vietnam after his F-106 assignment with the 456th FI at Castle AFB CA [www.tylerhamm.org] These guys do very nice work!
