Just got this from Sandy Smalley................................... The Old Sarge
----- Original Message ----- Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2011 8:57 AM Subject: Erv/surgery
Good morning,
Well, Erv had his surgery/biopsy on Tuesday..........Spent a LONG day in the hospital as he reacted to the pain meds but finally got him home at 11pm. Ray came down from Lafayette so he was a great blessing to have with me.
Anyhow, a tumor was removed with a "wide excision" and we will know the Path Report on the 24th when we see the Urologist again. Do expect that the cancer has reappeared again and at the appt. we will make a decision on what will be done. The cancer that keeps reoccurring is very agressive so they have to be on top of it.
He is doing fine......Eating good and resting....... he does have some pain meds if needed.
So will keep you posted as to what we learn on the 24th.
Bless all of you,
Erv and Sandy

Erv, you are on my prayer list for a quick recovery and your family to help them cope with the events surrounding your health. I hope they don't have to remove anything more and that it doesn't become such an inconvenience. Mike
