I was looking for something the other day and found this certificate that I had forgotten I had. It's in fairly good shape but it is now in a much better place. I wanted to share it with you since it was the start of my career as a crew chief. I remember how proud I was to get it. I didn't pay much attention to it when I got it but they really mis-spelled my name but with the caligraphy, it doesn't look too bad.
I have to acknowledge that Pat fixed it so I could post it here to share with all of you. Here's to you Pat :yellow-beer :thanks

Jim, None of these gentlemen were my mentor. If you are looking at the lower right name, it is David Schneekloth, Chief of Maintenance. I forget his rank.
Bullhunter, I tried the link again and I got a Sprint ad but at the end of the statement just above it, it says to click there if it doesn't load right away. Then it works.
Thanks for nice comments, guys.

Lugnuts--Were you at Minot in October of 1971? I got there from Duluth then, and I remember LTC Parsons as the Squadron Commander. I left there in May 1973 when I got out of the USAF. :e8new

Sixerviper, I left Minot in August 1971. In October, I was TDY to Homestead for F-4 school before going to Thailand. I remember Col Parsons too. He seemed like a good commander.

Cool breeze, I think they might have given those to the first term Airman who have completed their upgrade training and upon getting their 5 skill level. There were a bunch of us that went there from Tech School. I'm pretty sure we all got one but I don't remember if the older guys that were just killing time waiting for their discharge were given one.
