I wonder if the designers of the BDU, or whatever they are called, uniforms, is the product of too many marriages to first cousins.
Can anyone explain to me how any camoflauge is going to protect someone working in an office?
Seems to me that office types are supposed to be on the professional edge, so why not wear the casual blue uniform?
Even in the clinic and pharmacy they are wearing the hide from the Ruskies or Viet Cong uniforms.
Oh, my!

I love the camo's for USAF. They look so good and help hide our warriors from our enemies. Except for the Reflective stripes so they don't get hit by vehicles or A/C after dark. I have seen lots of WPAFB Warriors in BX/Comm with reflective stripes on back and sleeves. Talk about a conflict in purposes.

Congrats to you and thank them both for their service! She's the prettiest SMsgt I can ever remember seeing. New version of the patches Bob! She's a Master Sergeant. This is the new version. Note that if you take the "roof" off the top you are left with TSgt stripes. (BTW, I retired as a MSgt!) ...and this is the old version... This is the new version Senior Master Sergeant... ...and this is the old (pre-1994) version... When the new SMSgt stripes first came out we called it a "Chief" tech sergeant, but I was in the Army then, and what did we know!! I got schooled when I joined the Air Force!! Basically what they did was throw the "Top 3" enlisted ranks together so the MSgt stripes lost the bottom "rocker", and gained a "roof." I actually talked to several officers about this, and most agreed it was easier to find "the guy (or gal) in charge" because it was easier to see the "roof" on the stripes. Anyone with at least one of those had to be the person to see.

I remember the change from "buck Sargeant" (3 stripes) to Senior Airman. It was after I made buck. It added another step between AIC and buck.

Daughter and SIL (Son-In-Law) are doing us all proud. Also confirm buck sgt is gone. You go directly from SrA to Staff.
