Not a problem Jim. I understand. BTW who picks the locations of the reunions?
Typically there are several suggestions and the guys vote. Generally the voting is done at the farewell dinner on Saturday night

We have plans set for several trips. Fall 2018 - Sembach AB Reunion, Sembach Germany Spring 2019 - F-106 Reunion in AZ Spring 2017 - Cruise through the Carrabean Islands. The issue is the 3 hurricanes that went through have did serious damage. One of the tours we had scheduled has cancelled and refunded our money because of no power and it won't be restored before the cruise in several months. I'm wondering what other tours might be cancelled. I've been told that nature had taken a beating with many of the trees destroyed or the palms and branches ripped off. Most of the homes are gone and infrastructure suffered damage. We had purchased the cancellation insurance plan so I'm thinking its time to cancel out. The recent photo of the islands do not look good. The cruise company Holland America is very forthcoming on giving me information and their standard answer is, "The cruise ship companies are pouring in money to help restore the islands as tourism is the main industry that supports them. Right after Christmas will make my choice. Any ideas or suggestions. Cruise ship company says one thing, but the pictures from last few months show lots of major damage.

Gary, they may reroute the stops on that cruise if the destinations are not up and running by cruise time.
What destinations do they currently show for the cruise?

PAT, Its a 14 day cruise and we hit most all the islands and their ports. I'm sure they don't want to loose passengers or business and not being truthful.

Internet gave me another red flag today. I'm just about to go and cancel our Caribbean Cruise. Two separate cruise ships in that area have picked up a strange illness effecting over 500 people. Add this to a few pictures I was able to find taken a month ago shows hills of brown sticks, all the trees busted up. Then a page that has dozens of web-cams of the islands say "Offline do to the devastation." Then one of our tours was cancelled for lack of power. I think we would be better to hope Military Space-A someplace.

Nothing to do today. Belinda is meeting a girl friend at 6PM this evening for dinner.
I've been on and of google maps today planning our spring trip. Sights, hotels, routes, etc, etc. We are cancelling our Carribean Cruise because of the hurricane damage, two cruise ships have over 500 people sick with something, one of our shore tour was cancelled, all but one Carribean web cam is online and shows a hill with nothing but brown sticks as the trees were destroyed by 3 hurricanes, and there is a notice in red print that web cames off line do to devistation. We purchased the cancellation insuranse so we are going to use it.
So, we have decided to catch a U.S. Air Force C-17 out of McChord AFB to Ramstein AB Germany like we have done before several times. Rent a car and hit the autoban for the ALPS, Garmish Germany, then into Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Italy. Go down the east coast of Italy and up the west coast. Back through western Switzerland, eastern France and back to Ramstein AB Germany. If we can catch an aircraft into England we will to see our 3 Granddaughters near RAF Lakenheath. Belinda was really looking forward to the cruise. Just can't plan as weather may cause issues.

Now that the cruise is cancelled and we have a reunion planned in Germany for September we don't see the need to do a spring trip to Europe. Do it all in the fall. Wife still want to go some where in March and get away from the rains. Any Ideas?

Started our trip today and its off to a bad start. Met our friends at the Black Bear Diner in Lakewood. I ordered a plain hamburger with a teaspoon of relish on it and ketchup. It came out with everything on it including the relish. I mentioned to the waitress that it was wrong later when she came by. She said she would have another made and I said don't bother I'll take off what I don't want, and besides everyone is now eating. She brought the bill later and there was a 99 cent charge for a teaspoon of relish. I took the bill up to the cash register and waited then ask for the manager. I explained my order was wrong and I fixed it, but I was not paying 99 cents for a teaspoon of relish. She said she would remove it and I would also get a military discount for my service. She offered a free card for a meal next time, but I declined. She again offered me a free mini dessert pie to take with us. I also declined that. I was able to eat my burger with everyone else so I figured we were even after the relish charge was removed. Now tonight we are at our hotel and ate in the lounge. I ordered an elk burger well done plain burger and salad instead of French fries. The elk burger came with cheese on it and French fries. No salad. This trip now worries me. Will our jet not make it to Hawaii?

We landed in Kona Hawaii a few days ago. Having fun, but I might have broken my 2nd toe on my right foot. Have a snorkeling trip tomorrow from 8AM t0 1PM and it will be interesting getting my snorkel fin on that foot. Monday I chartered a deep sea fishing boat. Yesterday we spent the day at the Waipi'o Valley and Black Sand Beach.
Not letting me post a picture. Site is screwing up often.

Gary, in your "Not letting me post a picture", are you using a laptop, pad computer or cell phone to upload the picture?
Describe the sequence you are using to "Add image to post".
Are you experiencing any slow response to your screen when typing your post?
Are you accessing Internet through wi-fi or LAN cable?
These will help troubleshoot the problem.
Thanks, Pat P.

Don't have problems post any pictures on other sites like facebook or TWS. Just posted a picture in the gas thread and it worked fine. One in awhile its is an issue.

Foot is feeling a bit better but still looks bad. Toe pain almost gone so I might not have broken it. Did make it snorkeling yesterday and swam with pilot whales. Foot just made it into the snorkeling fins. Covered the foot with aloe cream and it helped it slide in. If there is a will, there is a way.

Gary, hope your foot is getting better and you can better enjoy your vacation. Here in Ohio it is currently a small ice storm to be followed by 3-6 inches of the flaky white stuff. Temp is right around freezing mark, but later this afternoon when snow starts temp is forecasted to drop well below 32. Glad I got the furnace/Air Conditioner installed last week when it was a little warmer. Wife and I never got cold while they were working although temp was only 45. I was only in Hawaii once back in 60's on way to TDY in SEA, although we never left vicinity of C-141 as it was only refueling stop. It was also 0-dark thirty so never got to see much. Same way with Alaska Stop and go about 5 times and same thing...just see flight line and Terminal. I can saw same thing about Japan. Been there 3 times but just in route to other places.

Lorin, No sow or ice here except in our Mai Tai drinks. Glad you got relief with a new heat system.
My toe is getting better. The a young boy stepped on it. Spent a fantastic time at a Luau last night and a few days ago snorkeled with whales about 5 miles or so off shore. Pictures were take, but I won't have them for a few days.
We are down to two days left on the Island, then we fly home, and I think I'm ready for home.
Yesterday we were the only people on this black sand beach.

Well there has been some changes on the big Island of Hawaii. They now have a condition they call the "KONA CRAWL". But they are constructing 2 more lanes of traffic lanes.
