Over the past 10 years I have made countless clocks of all sorts for fund raisers, prizes and awards for F-106 organization, some a/c museums (Castle, McClellan, Yankee AF, Tuskegee Airmen, and KI Sawyer to name a few) and to individuals for supporting the forum, and restorations... Also made a large wall clock for the 46th Air Refueling Sqdn.. Pat Perry has shared in the cost of most of these projects, so it is not an effort on just my part................. What I am getting at is this- about a week ago I made the offer to donate 2 desk clocks for an up coming reunion, the guy in charge of the raffle tickets has yet to reply, nor has an additional contact bothered to pay me the courtesy of a reply........ Gentlemen, I enjoy making these clocks and donating them at no charge what so ever to anyone.............. In fact, the walnut being used was donated by Bear (here on the forum), hauled by him from Nebraska to Colorado Springs and I hauled it from there to home here in Az. So, you see, there is another person involved............. I believe I at least merit a reply accepting the offer or telling me to go to hell............. I don't really care which............. Perhaps I should have offered to make one using the a/c they are currently flying............. Maybe I offended them by only offering the Six The offer to donate clocks still stands ..... BTW, a PS- "The Chief O The Darts" at Castle and the Castle Air museum has provided the a/c aluminum for the aircraft on these clocks... So now there are 3 people besides myself involved with these items........ The Old Sarge

I'm the proud owner of one of these clocks. It hangs in my home office next to my computer. I've received some very nice remarks about it from visitors. You can tell by just looking at it that it is a labor of love, done with great craftsmenship. I find it hard to believe that anyone would pass up the chance to have one of these in a raffle. Not answering with a yes or no thank-you is I my opinun, "rude". But maybe there is a good excuse, person on vacation, in hospital, etc, etc,,,.

Rude is an understatement. I am the proud owner of one and I sit and look at it for a long time sometimes just admiring the wood it's made from, or the aluminum shape of a 106. I bought a shelf and mounted it above my desk. I also get a lot of comments from visitors when they see it. I didn't realize how many people were involved because I never thought about it. Let me take this opportunity to thank all of the people involved. I would not trade my clock for anything because of the craftsmanship. I can appreciate that on it's own merit but now that I know a little background, it will always have a special place in my house. :thanks :salute :2thumbsup

The clocks I received, are very special treasures.
I, too, did not know how many were involved. I just knew The Old Sarge and his lovely bride, Sandy, did all the work on them, and that Ralph donatd the aluminum.
Jim and Sandy build the clocks as a labor of love.
I have a small one sitting next to my laptop, the computer I use the most. The clock is always in my vision.
The large clock I won for the Tall Tales II contest, hangs on the wall above my bedroom chest of drawers. It is one of the last things I see before I go to bed, and one of the first I see upon arising in the morning.
Now that I know how many are involved in the entire process, I thank all of you for your desire to see these beautiful clocks sent out to members of our Six Forum and as prizes for reunions.
Thank you to all involved.
Your involvement is greatly appreciated.
Jim Too
