Lindsey Lohan? Who? I can't believe the news coverage being given to a spoiled 24 yr. old. Here are a few young people worth knowing about: Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matt Weikert 29, Justus Bartett 27, Dave Santos 21, Chase Stanley 21, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew King 23, Christopher Goeke 23, & Sheldon Tate 27. These 20-somethings...... gave their LIVES for Freedom this week.

I'm liking this... About time these so call Journalists got a spanking from one of their own! Tucker Carlson's website, the Daily Caller, has unearthed a treasure trove of liberal journalists talking (nastily) to themselves in a private e-mail list about how they should use their media power to remake the world in their image. The funniest thing about this expose of JournoList was witnessing journalists say it was unfair to leak these e-mails when reporters had an "expectation of privacy." More than 90,000 pages of secret documents on Afghanistan have been leaked and journalists are tripping over one another in a mad stampede to cover the story. Everyone should laugh heartily at leak-devouring journalists getting a fistful of their own bitter pills. Read More\\Pat P. :patriotic-flagwaver

There was a time not too long ago when character, integrity, and honor were every day words in this country. Our schools, our worksites, and our government exuded the American dream of making ourselves and our nation better by hard work and a can do attitude. The service men and women in this country are in many ways a gift that can't be appraised. How many young people learned at the feet of veterans returning from the World Wars, Korea, Viet Nam, and the subsequent wars. If you shut up and listen, you can learn from heros that can do anything. What a shame it is when "Stars" go to jail or the marriage of a former president's daughter is more important than the sacrifices put forth by the very ones that preserve this country. God Bless our military and veterans, as well as their families.

God Bless our military and veterans, as well as their families. Well said Burt! We can only hope that journalism will some day score better than the US Congress in public opinion poles. Just for grins I googled the best political websites and found this link news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10151227-2.htmlI spend most of my time at Fox News and CSPAN but I like to wander over to Liberal/Dem sites just to see what non-conservatives are saying or more importantly, "HOW" they're saying it. More often than not, every side is talking bad about the others and not focusing on core principles in their debate. To me, journalists are totally missing the boat when they waste our time infusing their own opinions rather than reporting the news in a unbiased manner. Your are correct "There was a time not too long ago when character, integrity, and honor were every day words in this country". There is a difference between journalists and opinion editors. The former requires character, integrity and honor and a following of people looking for truth. The latter only requires a website or blog and people looking for someone to do thier thinking for them. Disgusting that we have so many of the latter and too few of the former. Have a great weekend Burt! Pat P. :2thumbsup
