When we were scheduled for a surge of night flying ops, I used to drive around to the east side of the runway at McChord near the departure end of the runway and watch the takeoffs. The sheer raw power when the six went into afterburner and the hard light the J79 engine was famous for was awesome.
Watched some of the videos and felt sick that the only six's left are drones.
