Yea the pics and videos are pretty cool, but they aren't actually the sound barrier being broken. These type of vapor clouds can occur at lower speeds as well.

i saw it last year a mcchord. i think it was an F18...just as it came over the north end i saw what looked like a white mist explode over the trailing edge of the wing...then a small crack of thunder... it was cool!!!!
