The best films were the ones we watched made for WW2. Most of them were produced by the major movie studios and had well-known actors in them. Even so, they were a bit hokey.
We used to have fun stomping on LOX that spilled on the ramp. Until, one of our guys got the heel of his boot blown off. He was lucky he didn't have any more serious damage, than to have to buy a new pair of boots.
We just got so used to LOX that we very easily became careless.
It was even worse in Winter at Minot. You were already bundled up like Charley Brown, and then you had to put on the apron, gauntlets and face shield. So it was all to easy to just hook up and fill the tank.
In South East Asia the same problems existed. But in Nam you had the danger of rocket attacks hitting the LOX area.
Liquid nitrogen didn't have the fire/explosion danger, but was still very cold.
I don't suppose much has changed since LOX and Liquid Nitrogen started being used on planes.
