A long time ago, I presented several desk clocks to frequent supporters/participants of the forum... After consulting with the other global moderator, Pat Perry and the Webmaster, I decided to make another award the greatest participant to date with a special small wall clock........... The clock is similar to the fisrt place trophy from the contest. I try to keep each one different, so this one has a six hand machined from 1/4" aluminum........... Search revealed that in almost 5 years, Bullhunter has submitted 1726 postings............ Some of which were quite lengthy and interesting to read............. That is more than anyone else, including me, and I have been a member from back when it was just a simple letter type of thing '99 or 2000 ? Maybe, if I am still around, I can make a clock for the next one to hit a high point......... Anyways, Gary, your clock shipped on the 11th........... Enjoy.......... The Old Sarge Forum Clockmaker

Congrats, Gary. As I was reading your book, I could see the leadership you displayed during your career. It's a natural carryover to this forum. Way to go. :god_bless_usa

Posted by ma1marv: Nice, looking forward to meeting any fellow members. We have two guest rooms so if you are traveling with your wife and get into a fight you each can have your own room. Posted by Gene: It hangs in my work shop. Your talking about the two F-106's passing Mt. Rainer, right?

Gary, a very well deserved Supporter Trophy award! Ok, now tell us the story on the great looking shadow box with the flag and medals in it! BTW, send me a PM with your snail mail address and the price of your CD book. I've been meaning to order one but have gotten bogged down with a number of other projects, lately. I try to read about 50 books a year and your's will be one of them in 2010! And thanks for the pictures of the Washington state area. Look's like God's Back Yard! Such beauty! Pat P

:thanks
Alright, not much to tell. When I retired from the USAF in 1995 I was working as the director of the McChord Air Museum. The museum gave me a plack and the Wing Director of Staff attended my retirement BBQ. That was that. Only thing that relly matters is my retirement check & VA checks get deposited on time in my accounts. I Think it was last year when I took my granddaughters back home after they spent the summer with us. My daughter & son-in-law gave me the shadow box as a gift. Some guy near Dover AFB, DE makes them. From the glass to the back wall it is 4 1/2 inches deep. Top to bottom 27 inches Side to side 18 1/2 inches. It's all solid oak except for the back wall I think. but you can't see it. It's heavy also. I had use some longer screws to toe in, to hit wall studs.
