I almost forgot to post this. Must be getting old and having senior moments.

On this day in 1910 1 Lt. Benjamin Foulois (December 9, 1879 - April 25, 1967), flew Army Aircraft #1 at the parade ground of Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.
The plane was a Wright Flyer, which Lt. Foulois flew for 7 minutes. He attained an altitude of 200 feet and a speed of 30 MPH.
Foulois served from 1898 to 1935, was eventually promoted to major general and became the first aviator to head the Army Air Service.
We have come a long way in the hundred years since Lt. Foulois flew the Wright Flyer around Ft. Sam's parade ground. I'm sure, visionary as he was, that Foulois never envisioned what later became the United States Air Force, the premier air force of our world.
Happy Centenary my Fellow Patriots.
