Phase dock: Its two hundred hourly inspection time to do both brakes retorque of the nuts that hold the brakes to the landing gear strut flange.We were buried in the dock think like two planes on the flight line and one in the dock.There was only five of us in Phase/Iso dock on swing shift plus the shift supervisor. Operation control wanted the flightline birds out yesterday they were high priority wanted them done A.S.A.P. I was in dock being supervised by a Buck Sgt me being a AIC at the time thought he knew alot more than I did about aircraft and working on them.We had to jack up the six but we didnt have three people and couldnt get any one to give us a hand at all. TECHNICAL DATA BOOK SAYS: WARNING MUST JACK PLANE UP ON THREE JACK POINTS! So this is when the Sgt got the brain storm that we will just jack up the back of the aircraft from the two wing jack points. Im thinking to myself this is really not a good idea DUH! We start jacking this pig off the floor and I say to Sgt. "Im chocking the front wheel just in case as an extra precaution". It goes half way up and the plane is getting higher and higher now its getting the nose dive kinda tilt, lower it down and then throw on strut scissor retaining clamps on the landing gear strut that way it wont be up so high in the air. Did that wasnt up so far then. By now we got the brakes and tire just off the dock floor.Loosened brake nuts put back on for the retorgue got them just tightened.Wait a minute Hey sarge do you hear the aircraft making very loud airframe stress creeking and flexing noises up by the top backbone just behind the inflight refuel door area? The planes slowly inching forward while on the jacks.VERY BIG GULP!OH FREAK SHES MOVING! So then I run up by the front tire kicking the chock under the front wheel hard as my little tire kicking legs could kick and heart beating like a scared bunny wabbit! Hes lowering both sides running back and forth between jacks.By this time I be waiting for the plane to run me over and the jacks pop out.By the time he got it down the pitot tube was like a few inches away from the black hanger door.She moved a good six inches to foot while on jacks hard to believe and no wasnt seeing things from a bad drunk the night before.Thats my story and sticking to it kinda of a believe it or not thing.Think of Jack Webb on the sixtys tv show Dragnet "Just the facts maam just the facts! :beer
