Got this from Judy Price this morning. Please pray for Bill, Judy and their family during this very trying time. Thank You Jim Scanlon
:god_bless_usa
We took Bill to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville on Wednesday. Thursday morning they did a biopsy and found glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain tumor. He's in the 4th and final stages of brain cancer and the doctor said he has 3-6 months. He begins radiation and chemotherapy Thursday to keep down swelling in the brain and arrest the spread as much as they can. The children and some grandchildren have made plans to be here with us at least another week. We did have a bright spot during Christmas. Our grandson and his wife had a baby boy named John William on Christmas eve. We took pictures of the 4 generations. The Lord is with us each step of the way and we're leaning very heavily on Him right now. Please continue to pray. We've got people praying from Maine to California and we know that helps. Judy

Our sincerest hope and prayer that Bill will prove them all wrong by continuing to draw from his greatest source of strength... his family.

---------------------------------------------------------
On Monday March 1st, Bill will have his last radiation treatment and Tuesday his last chemotherapy pills. He'll have to take the pills again later as part of his therapy, though. But, we can see an improvement in what he can do now as opposed to what he had stopped doing. He has more control over his body even though he's very weak. He still can't get into or out of bed or the car by himself. His legs are too weak for him to lift them. Our daughter-in-law has a nephew who is a physical therapist so we're going to get help from him. We don't know why, but he still doesn't talk much. He communicates with gestures or nods. And if he does say a few words, he whispers. March 26th, he goes back to the Mayo Clinic for tests and an MRI to see how much the tumor has shrunk. I don't know if they'll leave more radiation as an option later if the tumor grows again or not. There are so many unknowns. I do know that this is a horrible type of cancer for which there is no cure. It always comes back no matter what you throw at it. If you want to read about it, it's called glioblastoma multiforme. I'm scared to death for Bill and what he'll have to go through in the next months before the Lord calls him home. Judy
