When I was at Sembach Air Base, Germany we had an OV-10A come back early from a mission. I walked over to see why everyone was crowded around and there was an large hawk with its head sticking out of the leading edge of the wing just outboard of the engine propeller's ark. The hawk ws still alive and looking around at everyone.
I wanted to take a picture, but I did not dare whip out my camera with everyone around. You know 'Restricted Area" on the flightline.
They had called for a German Wildlife agent to come deal with the hawk.
