We used the M-32 and the MD-3 at dickie goober in the late 60's, but the M-32 was the mainstay and didn't need the pig-tail to use it like the MD-3 did. Both however would get the job done. My guess is that the MD-3 was used in the earlier years.

The M32A-60 and M32A-60A were turbine engine driven generators/ compressors which would, with an adapter, provide aircraft (CVAC) voltages only if used on the six. Entirely different from the primary power units for the six. The M32A-13 had an engine control panel on the rear right corner behind a door, about a foot wide, that opened top to bottom. The ECU10M being electric driven did not. Both had the generator control panels behind a door that opened top to bottom on the right rear corner. Both had cooling exhaust doors midway down the left side. The ECU10M had another cooling door on the front side. They both had output cable storage compartments low on the right side between the wheels. The ECU10M had an input cable storage compartment low on the left side between the wheels. The M32A-13 had a spring loaded towbar used as a deadman's switch and brake when released for the propulsion sysyem. The MD-3 was used for aircraft (CVAC) voltages only. The ECU10M and M32A-13 provided the 6 additional voltages (HAC) for the MA-1 system. Sure this is more info than you needed. All units were yellow in those years.

Yikes-sounds like the -60 and -13 were fairly different. Maybe I'll hold off on building it and show the kit to him when I present the F-106 and get his opinion. I hate to put it together if they don't look alike.

Thank you-I had to custom-make the 71st Fighter Squadron decal (though the tail number does not match) and had to use the later version canopy (the earlier version didn't fit in the solid piece!) but I think my Dad enjoyed it.
