We all know that Convair was the prime integrator that developed the F-106. What I didn't know until a couple days ago was during the same time frame, they also developed Atlas, our first ICBM. Guess you can say Convair had 'em coming and going. :

Boy those were the days. OK so here's a trivia for you...and no fair googling. Where was the Six production line and what famous WWII aircraft was also produced at the same facility? Well, I'm pretty sure it was made in San Diego. I won't cheat for the famous WWII plane but it had to be a Consolidated - not a Convair - plane, so that would make it probably the PBY or the B-24.
