I seriously doubt if many of you need a reminder about 18 September 1947.
For the two or three that do.
On 18 September 1947 the United States Air Force became a separate branch of the Unites States Military Forces. It was a long time coming.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Fellow Patriots, we have a proud history and, thankfully, we are all a part of that history. Thank you to each one who has served, and are still serving. Makes no matter how long we were in, or what we did, we are all a part of the same Air Force.
Thank you and may God richly bless you.
Happy 62nd Birthday to the United States Air Force.
Remember to put you flag out to-morrow morning, if you don't already fly it every day.
Jim
