To-morrow, 17 September 2009, is Constitution Day in our Republic. It is to remember and honor The Constitution of the United States of America.
It is a day to fly the National Banner, if you only fly it on special days. It is also a day to take time to read the Constitution. It's not all that long.
Isn't it interesting that the Founding Documents for our Republic are a small number of pages, yet it takes hundreds of pages for most any bill the Congress spews out. No matter how insignificant the issue.
Seems to me, the shorter the better.
Jim

Unfortunately, most high school graduates would be hardly capable of reading the Constitution much less understanding it. Plans are being made to lower standards in Seattle high schools so that children can graduate with a "D" average! That is the only way they can increase the graduation rate! When literacy goes, a Third World country status is not far behind. ;D Hi duy, Just heard Rush talking about this Constitution Town Hall to be held on the Internet on January 30, 2010. It's being sponsored by www.hillsdale.edu/kirbycenter/details here - it's FREE on the Internet www.tvworldwide.com/events/hillsdale/100130/Here's the agenda for the 9:00 AM to 3:00 session. www.tvworldwide.com/events/hillsdale/100130/Constitution%20Town%20Hall-Schedule.pdfMight be an interesting way to spend a Saturday Pat P.
