I hope I'm putting this in the right place. My son graduated from his joint service tech school at Ft. Meade and made it to his first duty assignment on 7/22 at Ellsworth AFB; just outside Rapid City, SD. He's attached to the 28th Bomb Wing (B-1B). They put him, wife and new daughter in on-base housing. They are thrilled to be in their 1st house. Now if they can just get TMO to deliver their furniture. :us_flag

TMO... No telling where their household goods are. May take weeks to show up. We have all been there. Then there is the lost stuff, damaged stuff, and filing all the claim forms to get repaid for your losss if your lucky. Don't forget, if you are over weight you owe Uncle sam. : Please thank your Son and his family for their service. We wish them every happiness. :thanks :salute

Certainly will. Thanks. Their stuff actually beat them to the base. Just can't get the local TMO to move it the last half mile. Thankfully Family Services loaned them some air matresses and a crib and a few other essentials.

I was single while I was active so I didn't have the TMO problems. My brother was a 20 year man and I heard a lot about his trouble with them. Dude, I wish your son and family the best of luck in the Air Force.
I have a nephew in the Army. He is a Green Beret with two tours in Afganiston. He is back at Ft Bragg now. He might have a shot at being an instructor at an Army post in Florida near Hurlburt Field. I'll report on that later as things develop.
