Does anyone know what the FS color for the plane was......gray? Or what would be the closest FS number? I have built two 1/10th scale F-106As over the past 10 years. They were ducted fan models................I acquired a mold years ago from Wright-Patterson Air Force base and layed the planes up out of fibre glass. Both flew very well. I now want to do another and put a wren turbine in it. Thanks Glenn last time I used FS 36495.it seemed close

:-XI just happened to be looking thru the Tech Order 1-1-4 today and it says that the F-106 Aircraft exterior color number is 16473, that applies to the former and standard system. I hope that helps. Ralph L. Robledo :patriotic-flagwaver

The key thing to remember is what the first number means - 1 = gloss 2 = semigloss 3 = matt (or flat) ADC Grey is the name most folks gave to FS16473 but officialy, it had no name. Sixes were gloss grey! www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_fs.htmSend some pics of your models! Mark
