I can't really say that the 27th was (or wasn't) the best FIS, but I will say that with a few exceptions, everyone in 27th and in every other FIS I visited were great people to know. Yeah, there were a few exceptions, but overall my assessment is dead on !!

How long did it take to make that invitation up? Did you have anybody helping you, or did you do it by yourself? :teacher

I can't find a Patch from Tyndall. I have some, just haven't looked. But here are my Fighter Squardons attachments from 1963-1971. Lorin

My last 3 years Active Duty were with the Flight Simulator System Program Office (SPO) at WPAFB OH. I was Test manager for all C-130/C-141 and C-5 Simulators. We built a refueling Simulator for C-5/C-141 aircrews to fly simulated refueling missions behind KC-135 and KC-10. I got to fly on several refueling missions in both C-141 and C-5. These were my flying clothes patches. I never got flight pay, but enjoyed being in right seat with a camcoder to record refueling missions to compare to simulation for both video and sound effects.

LBer,,, I flew often out of Sembach Air Base, Germany on FCF's and cross country to fix downed aircraft. I flew sometimes twice a week but never got flight pay either. But I loved the flying. That was reward enough.

Tough to narrow this down. I better stay neutral! Probably one of these though.
