This was just sent to me this morning by SSgt Steve Daniels who worked Fuel cell in the 318th FIS. This is his comment. "A friend of mine sent me this picture years ago. It's an 8x10 and take me a few minutes to upload but you having a faster computer you will be able to download it much quicker. " Thanks Steve! :thanks

You might like this one better. I received this one second. Some editing was do to the contrast. Makes it a better photo.

After talking with a few of my old F-106 buddys we believe the photo was taken in the back seat of a F-106B model. Two reasons. First, the metal strip down the top of the canopy. Second, the intakes are pretty close to the canopy window.
Anyone else have a coment or observation? :fire_missle_ani

It's a 106-B. Like you said, the intakes are close and the bar over (against, if you look close) the pilot's head. If you compare how close the intakes are on the other 2 birds, you can tell.
Still a great picture tho!
I don't think it's computer generated. A very wide angle lens with a decent sized aperture can do that for you.
