Patrick McGee,
Yes, AJ Kelly posted this on Convair F-106 Delta Dart Group page in reply to my post about Jim:
Allan John Kelly Talked directly to Jim Gier a few minutes ago: He saw that I called and returned. He doesn't TEXT, nor do VOICE MAIL, smart man! Sounded good, but said he is getting his butt kicked. I told him that he has a huge 'Prayer Team' going for him. He is definitely still "The Old Sarge' no doubt about it. So good to hear him in person! Didn't keep him long, but hope to hear from him soon again! He said the 'Docs' told they are seeing good signs! Thinking good thoughts! 😎
I replied:
Pat Squared Author Allan John Kelly A.J. thanks for your update! Jim is cantankerous and the most generous person I have ever met. He and Sandy have visited us and we have visited them in Payson, AZ. We love them! Pat Perry
Thanks, Pat P.

Feeling particularly nostalgic today after the Melbourne, FL F-106 Reunion last week and Thanksgiving yesterday. Bobski & Dave Stiteler and their wives did a great job co-chairing the Reunion along with Dick Stultz and his wife. We had 144 attendees at the final banquet! It was great to meet a lot of children and grandchildren of our Sixers at Melbourne. I was searching the F-106 Forum today and found this post I sent to the Old Sarge Jim Gier on Oct 9, 2004. We were all working hard to find Museum homes for the remaining F-106s at Tucson AMARG "Boneyard". Jim's clocks helped raise funds for hundreds of people & air museums. A special thanks to Patrick McGee for all he has done to keep the F-106 alive on his websites, Forum, and the Convair F-106 Delta Dart Group on FaceBook. forum.f-106deltadart.com/post/496This post reminded me of all the great Sixers we have lost over the years and most recently Jim Gier. Everyone who received one of Jim's clocks feels the generosity of the Old Sarge and his leadership. We miss you, Jim! Happy Holidays to you and your families! Pat P.

"Greetings Sixers! Bobski has created a revised Newsletter of the one he sent on Mail Chimp last week. No need to check your junk/spam folders because here's a short cut to the latest news. Bobski is already working on the next Newsletter which asks for your help in contacting Air Museums to submit Applications for the Donations from the Melbourne, FL F-106 Reunion Raffle. You'll see that later. For now, Bobski figured out a more timely and efficient way for Melbourne Reunion attendees to submit pictures for posting on Pat McGee's F-106 Photo Album. Have a great Christmas on Saturday Dec 25th! www.f-106deltadart.com/pdf-files/AllTroops-ReunionNewsletter.pdf

"Bobski has just sent his Christmas Edition of the F-106 Reunion Newsletter on Mail Chimp to 1000 Sixers on his email list. No need to check your junk/spam email folders. Just click on the link below and you'll see it thanks to Pat McGee. This one talks about Air Museum Applications to request consideration for our F-106 Reunion donations. It is also a tribute to all the Sixers who have volunteered for restoration teams and donated money to Air Museums as members to make sure the F-106 occupied a place of honor as the Ultimate Interceptor. Over 80 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more to celebrate Christmas. Six Million of them will be traveling by air. The freedom to travel and visit with family is a richly held American Tradition. Be safe and help others and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!"

While stationed at McGuire AFB in early 60's we would actually launch a six when NORAD sent the "Alert" of unidentified Aircraft entering our airspace and local News would show it live in TV about 10 PM every Christmas Eve. So I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and an upcoming Happy New Year. May your lives be filled with Happiness and Good Health. Lorin

"Thanks to Greg Maciolek for shooting video of the F-106 Reunion at Melbourne, FL. Greg posted them on YouTube and sent them to Pat McGee who posted them on his F-106 website Albums. Greg's videos turned out a lot better than my Audio files so go to the link below and watch them. We had a great turnout at the Reunion and Bob Kwiecinski and Dave Stiteler are now planning the next F-106 Reunion in April 2023. You'll hear more about that in the coming months. The third video is the longest one and Dick Stultz did a great job hosting the "War Stories" from pilots and maintainers. These stories go back 55-65 years and it's incredible how much we remember when we get together. Some with tears and most with laughter. Many of our Reunion attendees have shared pictures and I will post that link below in the comments section. For now, here is the Video link."
