The USAF had lots of OV-10A aircraft that were great observation and light attack. It at 4 machine guns and could carry bombs and rockets. Had a cargo area that could fit any new upgrade equipment. The government decided to give them away. The Navy & Marines still fly them. These new aircraft being tested, I don't even know where they are made. Its my feeling that over a battle field its best to have an aircraft with two engines instead of one. The OV-10 and the A-10 where/are great close air support aircraft.
I've worked on these for 4 years and they are easy to maintain and have very little ground time. I've also flown in these for maintenance, TDY's. Great little aircraft. They have been proven to get the job done.
