On October 29th 2013 My wife and I arrived at Seattle Airport for Alaska Airline Flight 762 to Kansas City. We arrived about 3 hours early as we always do. We understand that TSA at Seattle can get pretty busy at times. We always stay the night prior to our flight at the Radisson Hotel across from the airport, because we can leave our car in their parking lot. The hotel printed our boarding passes and we did the curb baggage check as always because my wife is handicapped with a new ankle replacement and a weak knee, she uses a cane and we always get a wheelchair when available. October 29th was not going to be pleasant for us, as the wait on a wheelchair was 40 plus minutes. My wife decided to walk slowly to TSA and the Alaska gate. Once at the TSA Security area I chose the shortest line as I did not want my wife standing too long. This turned out to be a bad thing for several reasons. First the line was moving, then it stalled, 6 TSA agents gathered around the baggage scanner (x-ray) screen and kept looking at something, they kept talking and each took turns pointing at the screen. I asked an older woman in a TSA uniform standing around looking over the area, "What seems to be the hold-up we've been standing here over 15 minutes?" She quickly informed me that it was none of my concern. I then informed her by saying, "My wife is handicapped and it's not good for her to be standing for long periods of time, and our aircraft takes off in less than an hour." She snapped back at me, "That's your problem for being late!" I then told her, "We are not late, we have been standing he for at least 15 minutes." When the line started to move again and my carry-on bag went through the scanner she spoke to another agent and then my bag and I were pulled aside for further searching. This was a direct act of retaliation for my verbal complaint! This woman then walked away and went up to a overlook area with a few individuals I assumed were supervisors/managers. I then remarked to two agents near me, "She was very rude, nasty, and disrespectful to me." The no-verbal gestures I received back indicated a yes, and it wasn't anything new to them. I then asked, "Is there a complaint form I can fill out to file a complaint?" I was quickly handed a complaint form and told, "Please do!" I then asked what this woman's name was, and was told something like "Darland." I was about to ask for the spelling but when I looked back up to where she was, she was gone. I began to worry she might hear or learn I was going to make a complaint against her, so I decided to move on. I was fearful she would retaliate against my wife and I causing us to miss our flight. This woman is a problem and needs extra training in dealing with travelers. She needs to learn to be more caring and kind to avoid problems. I expect a replay to my complaint. Gary H. Bullhunter said: Gary, for the purpose of your letter to TSA, her needing "extra training" is probably the best way to put it.
However, she is a bully and needs to be terminated, not trained.
She has probably been trained more than is necessary, but in the wrong methods.
In your post of the Branson Military Museum, with the story and the NAZI flag, I think you could say she was trained in the methods the flag represents.
There are far too many "horror" stories about overbearing TSA Agents, who abuse their authority and do retaliate when questioned or if people complain.
They want us to just stand on line, await our turn, quietly, as we head to the --- chamber.
And the Sheeple said: "Yes, master, we will do as you say. We will not protest. We will allow you to abuse us and demean us. Because you are protecting us from a worse evil."
Balderdash!
It is time TSA and lots of other Acronym agencies are done away with.
Please let us know if they respond.

Before I quit flying in response to Scope & Grope, I generally had nothing but good luck with TSA--granted, it does help that the professional appearance I've crafted for myself could easily be taken for LEO so I may have had the benefit of "professional courtesy", like a case where I forgot my ID and boarding pass at the Indianapolis checkpoint and got back there only to have one of them tell me "we were just about to run this down to your gate."
My standard look: 2-pocket long-sleeve khaki workshirts or 5.11 Tactical "dress uniform" shirt over khaki slacks, a look loosely styled after WWII.

DB, I would need to see a picture of that, as I am not able to picture it in my mind.
I know that when I fly, particularly to and from Vegas, I see some really strangely dressed people going through the TSA interrogation stations.

I wrote to TSA about a week ago and said that I have hear nothing on my complaint. Its been about a month. Then I said that if I don't get a response soon I was sending my complaint to congressman and my two senators.
Just received this today. Guess they are full of excuses, circling the union wagons, and trying to make me go away quietly. They have no idea how long I can hang with them. Pressure, pressure, & pressure.

Gary, it sounds like TSA is brushing you off, by demanding informatioh they think you won't be able to give them.
As far as they seem to be thinking; Case Closed, couldn't give us the information we said we needed.
Keep after them, Gary, and send their response to your Senators and Representative.
Of course, your "Mom in Tennis Shoes" will be in favour of the TSA.

My wife keeps receipts, boarding passes, and other papers from our recent trips just incase. After Christmas I'll be hitting them with the info. As much as we have. I took a photo of this woman but can't seem to find it in the lap top, camera, or my desk-top. It may turn up.

. Every time I go through in Baltimore, I walk right up to the first female TSA I see and volunteer for a pat down. Gets me right through.
