Figured I'd put it out there for a vote. I'm included to keep the Voodoo stuff here since we have a following, but having a Forum with its own name might attract Voodoo fans who don't come here.

I'd say it's worth a shot on the Voodoo forums, at least an experiment. Seeing the F-106 link might be confusing to new visitors. I've posted the link over at Aircraft Resource Center, and got a few positive responses, but I didn't get any feeback on the F-106 tie-in. I did explain that the new site was a work in progress, however.

Hi Pat McGee, Either way will catch the traffic from search engines using F-101, Voodoo, or any squadron number that was Voodoo. Speaking of squadron numbers, here is Erv's & Marty's map of F-101 outfits Thanks, Pat P.

The article below my comments is from this morning's Air Force Magazine Daily Report.
I think it shows a problem that was not anticipated in the building of another Forum dedicated to the F-101.
Well, really more of a compound problem.
Most of us were members of the "Forgotten Command", Air Defense Command.
With TAC taking over ADC in the Eighties, and now everything under one "umbrella" command, ADC is ancient history.
On our Forum there are mostly men and women who were in ADC.
Most of them, like myself, worked on more than one Interceptor.
For instance, I worked on F-51D, F-86D & L, F-89J, F/TF-102A, F-101B and F-106A&B. That along with the T-33, T-6D, C-47, C-82, C-119, C-45, L-20, RB-29, all at The SCAB. Nope, never worked on the F-82, F-94C, B-57. B/A-26, or any others that ADC owned.
For Pat McGee to set up a site for every Interceptor would be asking too much, and he probably doesn't have time, as he does have a full-time job.
Pat, how about you take the present Six Forum and add a separate block for "Other ADC Aircraft"?
I don't know how well it would work, but it would be easier for those of us on the Six Forum to do postings about other birds we worked on.
I do like the idea of having some place to talk about the other ADC birds we were associated with.
I'm just not sure the separate sites is the way to go.
I don't see a need to build a separate ADC site, either, as there are some already out there, in one form or another.
I, as most of our crew, like the Six Site, that is why we are here. Whatever is decided, that site needs to be the primary site, as the Six is the "Ultimate Interceptor".
That's my thinking on the subject.
Whatever is done, each of us owes Pat McGee a hearty THANK YOU, for all the work he has done to get this site up, and keeping it up, as well as getting started on the Voodoo site.

Restoring Voodoo: A $76,000 restoration of several aircraft at the Peterson Air and Space Museum on the grounds of Peterson AFB, Colorado, is expected to be complete by the start of the new year. NORAD and US Northern Command funded the project, which has paid special attention to a static display of an F-101 Voodoo all-weather interceptor. Workers are repainting it in the colors and markings of the 13th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, restoring it to "its glory days as a first-line, tip-of-the-spear protector of America nearly 50 years ago," according to Peterson officials. "This aircraft needed work for a very long time," said Jeff Nash, museum deputy director. Also getting facelifts are an EC-121 Warning Star, F-4 Phantom, F-86 Sabre, F-94 Starfire, F-106 Delta Dart, a P-40 Warhawk, and T-33 Shooting Star. Officials also did a complete makeover on a MIM-3 Nike Ajax missile. (Peterson report by Monica Mendoza)

Jim has some good points. I've also visited the F-101 site and liked it. Will it distract from our site. Really don't know. We do have a thread area for other aircraft. At this time I'm not voting either way.

I voted no because for me it is easier to just check this sight, even though I loved the voodoo almost as much as the dart. I have a little bit of computer knowlege, but don't like to push it. Keep it simple.

Jim Too, you make some very good points. (Go big, or go home kind of thing?) I've been thinking about it, and what I like is the fact that this one site could be an ADC home base so to speak.
The other point you made is what will make or break it however. This is Pat's site, and the decision will be his.
Lot's of things to think about I guess.

All great points guys :green-beer and the reason I posted this was because I too am on the fence about it.
But, now that I read your remarks and and think about it more, I agree with Mark that maybe this one site here, which everyone knows and visits, could be the Air Defense Command site with sections for the Six and Voodoo and whatever else we come up with in the future.
There are already some commonalities between the current forum boards regardless of what we worked such as In Memory, all the Politics ;D and such.
I think we give that a try. I'll modify the graphics a bit, update/condense the current sections, add or rather move the current voodoo section to it's own location and see how it looks.
That said, nothing functionally here will change, so don't worry about making any changes to anything you do now. Just stand by for more.

Pat, the new wallpaper is really nice.
You have incorporated the Six and the Voodoo side-by-side.
How can we view the entire wallpaper?
I've tried a couple of ways, but they didn't work.
Thanks for building a great site, and keeping it up to the desires of all the troops.
