Howdy and hallucinations!!... I just found you guys and really glad to find you...I was involved with the "6" right out of tech school and stationed at Hamilton AFB for my first pcs....I can honestly say that the "6" is still my all time favorite airplane...just no other plane even today that could do what she did.... let me introduce myself... my name is Steve and was basically a parts expediter....if the plane was down for any reason..we had virtually minutes to get it to maintenance to make the plane mission ready...if not then I'd have to go find it at any sister base around...which meant to get that part at all costs......even if it meant getting a pilot out of bed to go get it.... I was in the AF from 70-76...my last pcs was at travis AFB cal.... it's so nice to meet others that were involved in the F106 and I hope to read and meet others.... Steve

Thanks guys...this is really a great site....I feel like I've finally found a place where people understand what I've experienced with the F106's.....when you tell people you were involved with the "6"...they look at you like your from another planet....always amazes me...guess I'm old..

Welcome Steve. I know you will enjoy any time spent here. I noticed you were at Grand Forks. I was at Minot in '70 & '71 with the 5th FIS :welcome
