I read that Bullhunter is writing a book and has 219 pages complete as of 9 Apr 2009 In his post, which honestly had nothing to do with promoting a book but rather was written as justification that not all the F-106 stories have been told yet, he asked who would be interested in a copy. Well, based on that question, the several replies that followed, the fact THAT post was in need of a little 'lightening up' (serious $hit there guys) AND that Jim had mentioned in that post about a poll (for something altogether not related to this), I thought I would indeed start a poll and see what comes Bullhunters way. Let me just say... "I'M IN!" Of course now you HAVE to finish the damn thing bull! Oh, and the last option there Bull Who :lol ... I just couldn't resist :green-beer

I've always believed that every GI has one great "war" story in him / her. I've been writing some engine stories in the various threads on this web site. Some have been read and others seem to languish in the bottom off the bowl, as it were. Some days I've had this site all to my self with no one else passing thru.
If Mr. Price would like any of what I've written, to be placed in his book in progress. He should feel free to lift any or all of my stories to serve his purposes.
I would buy a copy of the F-106 book about the many people that have been around the many flight lines and alert hangers.
Good luck with your book, MSgt Price.

Thanks az09, I've been told that the writing of the book is the easy part. editing is abit harder. But getting it published is the real difficult part. It remains to be seen if I can get a publisher. I started this project just for my kids and a few relatives. It seemed to take-off on its own. The subjects cover are not only military but include: Growing up on our dairy farm Teenager troubles with a few stories of police involvement Twenty-four years in the military Brother involved with my Dad's death, arrested for involuntary- manslauther Frist wife's adultry, child neglect, USAF deporting her out of Germany, and our divorce Hunting trips Fishing & Boating trips Second marriage Family Retirement I know some if it about my first wife will be hard for my two natural children to read. But it's about time they got the whole truth. All of that being said,,,,this is my plan if I can't get a publisher. I'll be putting it all on a CD including lots more photo's for my family and relatives and close friends. Anyone registered in this forum and who wanted a book will get a CD for a very minium expense & shipping. If I get a publisher that would be great. If not, it still goes out one way or the other. Funny, as I hit the Post button this add was at the top of our forum page: www.createspace.com/pub/l/books_value_selfpublish.do?rewrite=true&ref=256590&utm_id=20

ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE ......... Have you noticed that the phrase, "I DISAGREE" , appears to be pasted over some of your content you have typed work into this site? ? I first saw it on one of my stories and I dropped the story out completely when all attempts at correcting the errant phrase from my post was futile. I did not see the additional words when I edited my work before final up loading. One of your current stories has this "pasted" over one of your thoughts. I wonder if this is just a SNAFU item or if some one is shadowing our inputs? ?

The over printing of "I disagree" is strange. The poster has edit powers. After that the web-master and who else? Is it possible we are being hacked by an outside sourse?
What story in what thread did you see this?

Don't remember which post. I was wasting time one day and wanted to read every item from the beginning of the site start up.
It was a story, not just a comment thread. If I run across it again, I will make a note.

Hey Price, .......... Do you think the site is being monitored by an "outside" source? ? What type "boogie' MAN IS WATCHING US? LOL !!! :teacher Actually as per the Terms of Agreement all sites hosted by this group are subject to monitoring for inappropriate content, and can be shut down if found violating any of the TOA. However, someone would actually have to complain to the host before such monitoring would ever occur, so I'm not too worried about that.

No there is not. I'm sorry. Just stories that I was involved in and that I have photos to go along with the story and help back-up and tell the story with.
There is an author named Col. Jeffrey O'Leary. One of his books is titled "taking the High Ground". My wife gave it to me for Christmas one year. It's a pile of stories from may different military people. With all of us and all our stories we all could put together a great book with many, many stories. Of course one, two, or three of us would have to put it all together and edit it, and hunt for a publisher. I'm burnt out after working my book for about a year, so count me out for the work part. :cry
