As I type this the reunion is in full swing at Minot. If anyone was there let us know how it went. I really would have liked to have been there but the scheduling did not work out for me.

marv, really wish you could have been there the base went all out to welcome us. Jim Hogan found the old squadron scrapbook and that was one of the hits of the show. The base commander was really outgoing and made the rounds of the reunion and the show to personally welcome as many 5th FIS people as possible (we were easy to spot by our hats and shirts) they had the mounted image of Spitten on display and that was another one of the hits of the show. There are quite a few pictures of the events and show at the hooterville bar website and I have several c.d.'s worth at home so if need be I could forward them to you if your'e interested. The weather was perfect low 80's during the day and in the 50's at night it was so nice that we were able to sleep in our hotel room with the windows open well hope to hear from you soon oh by the way my new e-mail is: SRUPP@wi.rr.com Later Scott

Hi Scott. Thanks for the report on the reunion. I went to the hootervillebar.com web site and looked at all the pictures. Looks like everyone had a great time. The pics they had were posted full size and were about 250-300K in size. This made the pages slow to load even on my cable modem connection. If you want to post your own CD pics on the web, I would recommend Webshots.com. Thay have a free service and a pay service (that offers more albums). Check out our 456th FIS stuff at community.webshots.com/user/popperryThanks for the headsup on the reunion. Pat Perry 456th FIS

Hey Scott, Great job with the photos on Webshots. I don't know if you downloaded their free software for uploading pics. I put it off for a long time but when I started using it, uploads went much faster. You can also organize your album off line before uploading it.
You can also put captions on the pics too. Is there a pic of you in that album?
Thanks Scott! Pat Perry

Thanks, yes I downloaded their software basically because I was not sure what I was doing, on page # 2, pic 47 is a picture of me (on the left) and Jeff Mercier (Jammer) on the right taken outside the old 5th FIS hangar area also there is a photo of me under the wing of old # 462 one of our old "A" models now on static display at the entrance to the old squadron area. Jammer was my supervisor on the third shift weapons loading prior to my discharge in 1981 and is to this day a living legend among the loaders assigned to the old 5th and also among the other people assigned to Minot during his stint there.
