Just dropping an "I'm OK" update since I haven't had much to post for a bit buried between the needs of my aunt's estate and my mother's daily care. 2023 still not possible for me, still trying to line up the pieces on the chessboard for 2025 once where-and-when are set. (Oh, you should hear the Old One already grousing about me wanting to drag her across the country since her care and wheelchair needs mean where one goes the other must too. You'd think for all her big talk about how close to Grandpa she was she'd understand, but... "what's mine is mine and what's yours is negotiable." *eyeball roll* )

I never got to go anywhere off base during my 4 weeks of BMT. VN was gearing up and they changed BMT to 4 weeks at Lackland and additional 2 hrs a day at Tech School. I started on 23 Apr 1963 and left lackland 4 weeks later on train for Denver. Since it was a trial program they didn't get all there eggs in basket right away. First thing I found out upon getting to Lowry was they had just applied for my Security clearance (Along with about 20 others) in same trial, but some were in other schools. I was in MA-1. So we spent 4 weeks of KP duty everyday and 10-12 hours each. Once we got finished with KP and before we started school they issued us new brogans and fatigues since ours were moldy. So later classes arriving were not as lucky and only did about a week of KP as they started their Clearance as soon as arriving. But I did enough trips to Lackland/Kelley after retiring and working as contractor at WPAFB. We usually stayed at Holiday near the Old Market in Downtown. Of course the Alamo is also nice to see. I am resting after doing my spring cleaning of car. Wife and I went on road trip yesterday and ended up on Rt 52 from Ripley to Cincinatti>There we went to Casino and then stopped at Golden Corral buffet. I hope everyone at reunion has a great time, meets some old and some new friends and remain safe. Been awesome weather all week mid 70's and sunny. Lorin

Hi Sixers! Here's another Video that Bobski sent for a sneak peek.
F-106 All Troops 2023 Reunion Army Recruiters Visit
Excerpt from the Video: "1 view Apr 22, 2023
All week long during the 2023 F-106 San Antonio Reunion we kept passing by a large group (75) of Army Reserve recruiters who were having classroom training next to our hospitality room. Bobski had an idea to put together a skit to march into their training room. Malcolm Emerson was a master at cadence calling and Gary Foust would be our acting OIC. This video was taken by our AV specialist Greg Maciolek. He did not have a chance to set up his equipment ahead of this. So, there are some areas where the video is blurred. Enjoy this fun and memorable event!
This will have you laughing at the fact that we USAF Troops can still march to cadence calls and deliver a message to our Army recruiting brothers who were meeting in the same hotel in San Antonio."
Thanks, Pat P.

Please see the earlier posts in this 2023 F-106 Reunion thread in case you missed something.
And be sure to check out Patrick McGee's F-106 website at:
www.f-106deltadart.com/reunioncommittee.htm
The members of the Reunion Committee want to thank everyone who attended the San Antonio Reunion and sent pictures to them for sharing.
Will there be another F-106 Reunion? Most likely "YES" but the Reunion Committee will announce that after they next meet and determine where to conduct it at a price that meets the needs of everyone who wants to attend.
Thanks, Pat P.
