Message from Bobski - Pat P The Reunion Info and the Registration forms can be found here www.f-106deltadart.com Dear F-106 Troop, This is just a minor update as to where we are with the 2019 Tucson Reunion. So far the Radisson has 24 rooms reserved (which is good) and registrations are trickling in to us. Remember that for those who are registered with us by October 1st to attend the reunion that you will be entered in to a drawing for a "Free Room Night" at the Radisson for the week of the reunion. If you are receiving this information for the first time it may be because I found several email addresses from an older email list that was lost by my AOL. Sorry for the email issue! Dick Stultz has ordered the 2019 reunion patches. Thank you Dick once again for your outstanding artwork and contributions! Each registered Veteran will receive a patch at the Reunion. A limited number of patches will be available in a few weeks for $10 each which includes shipping. We've come up with some great tours once again and the prices are very reasonable to include the bus transportation. You can also contact Roxanne Erickson at the Tucson Convention Visitors Bureau for more information on the Tucson area: Rerickson@visittucson.org or phone: 800-638-8350 ext. 120 She is fantastic! I have attached the reunion information and registration files. Please share them with any of your "Six Buddies!" Don't procrastinate and wait for your buddy to sign up first! We've heard so many guys regretting later they wish they had attended one of the previous reunions! We've averaged over 200 to each of the past three. Finally, we do have a large F-106 Troop data base. We do not wholesale it out to anyone. It is confidential. Only on special request when you are looking for a specific individual, we may give you that member's contact info. Stay tuned and register soon! Co-chairs, Bob Kwiecinski (Bobski) Dave Stiteler

This is a good place to post this from Bobski - Pat P. Dear F-106 Troops, It with great sadness to report the loss of one of our most dedicated F-106, 48th FIS, and Loyal Air Force Veteran, John Boudreaux. John was also instrumental on our past F-106 Reunions assisting with the 48 Pursuit Squadron reunions. John's son flies F-22 aircraft at Tyndall, AFB. Our deepest condolences to the Boudreaux Family. In Memory of Brother John our F-106 Reunion Committee has decided to donate $500 to the Tyndall Disaster Relief Fund. We will be contacting his family to arrange the donation. Here is the link to John's obituary: holtenterprisenews.com/2018/10/19/pilot-who-died-in-fridays-plane-crash-identified/_____________________________________________________ All F-106 Troops, Thank you Dick Stultz for forwarding the Services for John Boudreaux. See below for details. I spoke to John's wife Jan last night and she is very appreciative of us keeping in touch with her. Their son is an F-22 pilot who was stationed at Tyndall during the hurricane. Jan is getting us a worthy contact in the Tyndall area for our $500 donation towards hurricane relief. Bobski From: disz@att.net Subject: Fw: John L. Boudreaux, Jr. | Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery SERVICES FOR BOODIE BOUDREAUX NOV 1 Memphis Tennessee. Please pass this on to all the 48th Association and F-106 folks as Boodie had been taking on a lot of responsibilities to keep the 48th history going. Sandy and I will be traveling there to attend the ceremonies VR Dick Stultz www.memorialparkfuneralandcemetery.com/obits/john-boudreaux/Text from Obituary: Maj. John Landry “Boodie” Boudreaux, Jr. (USAF, Ret.) February 26, 1950 – October 19, 2018 Maj. John Landry “Boodie” Boudreaux, Jr. (USAF, Ret.), who served his country as a fighter pilot and entertained jazz lovers as a big band trumpeter, died on October 19, in Holt, FL, in a single-engine aircraft accident. He was 68. A native of Baton Rouge, LA, John graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1968. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in American history from Louisiana State University in 1972. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force through ROTC. As an Air Force command fighter pilot, John served at bases in the United States, Germany and South Korea. He logged more than 4,000 hours in six fighter and trainer aircraft from 1973 to 1993 (F-15, F-106, F-100, T-37, T-38 & T-33). After retirement from active duty, he was employed by FedEx as a flight engineer in Memphis. He retired in 2014 as an Airbus Captain with 20 years of service and more than 8,000 flight hours. John’s lifelong passion for music was cultivated during four years as a member of the LSU Golden Band from Tigerland. Upon relocating to Memphis in 1995, he revived his love for jazz as a trumpet player with the Memphis Knights Big Band, VA Band, and the Memphis Shrine Band, and as the leader of the Memphis Doctors Band. He volunteered his time to play “Taps” for local military funerals in association with Bugles Across America. John was an aviator in every sense of the word. He participated in numerous events to promote aviation and preserve aviation history. He piloted his own planes in retirement and was a traveling member of the “Black Ducks” flying club near Milton, FL. He will be deeply missed as an exceptional man, full of life and joy in every moment. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:45 a.m., Friday, November 2 at Grace Hill Church, 10576 Collierville Road, Collierville. Subject: F-106 2019 Tucson Reunion - list of attendees signed up so far 11/15/18
All F-106 Troops,
Some of you have been asking about "who has registered so far for the reunion." Our Co-Chair Dave Stiteler (thank you Dave) has compiled a list of who has registered so far. Check the list of 93 below.
We are doing well at this point in time compared to past reunions. We ask you to please consider registering with us as soon as you can. This helps us in planning, especially for reserving the buses and tours. These company's require hard head counts early and their cutoffs are 30 days prior. We are also concerned about several who have signed up for the Hotel, but haven't registered with us yet for the Tucson reunion! Just a reminder the Hotel will honor our very low rate of $93 (plus taxes...) for 2 days before and after the reunion.
We have less than five months to the Tucson reunion. Remember to start reminding your buddies to sign up! Don't be one of the guys "waiting for my buddies to sign up!" We've seen situations where guys have missed the reunions because they kept waiting for their buddies to sign up! You will be amazed with who you may meet up with at the reunions. We usually have attendees from EVERY F-106 Base/Squadron and AFSC...
Aim High!,
Bobski

A message from Bobski All F-106 Troops, Patrick McGee, the Creator, Owner, Administrator, Webmaster of our beloved F-106 website: www.f-106deltadart.com has created an Alumni Registry for all Sixers. Actually it has been there for some time. He has now created a User Friendly User's Guide to sign up in the Alumni Registry. Remember you can also lookup the bios of hundreds of Sixers in it! When you go to the link below you will see a Button at the top of the page that links the user to the Alumni User Guide.pdf that would help nonmembers to register. Here's the link: F-106 Delta Dart Website Alumni Registry Any current members who want to update their record and who forgot their login user name and PW can email Pat McGee ( mcgeepj2@hotmail.com) to get their info. Thank you Pat McGee for all the hard work and dedication to the Absolutely Outstanding F-106 Website! Also for the latest 2019 Tucson Reunion information you can go to the main page link: www.f-106deltadart.com and see the reunion info and more links to the reunion page and forms. We still have 4 months to go before the reunion, so don't procrastinate and sign up! Aim High! Bobski PS from Pat P. : MOW has expanded the content space you can enter on your page, so go look yourself up and add new info to your page. Remember, your login and PW for the Alumni Registry may be different from your login and PW for the Forum because they are two separate systems. MOW has done a great job over the past 20 years keeping these websites up to date with the advance of software and hardware technology!

Nice photo's, but first one I look at I see the bay doors open and a single missile being fired. The MA-1 system fired the IR or Radar missiles two at a time. Second issue is both rails are in airstream. So it is not a photo, but a painting I guess. PS, know why they fired both a same time? First was the Probability of Kill (PK). The early missiles were far from perfect so they fired two, hoping one would hit target. Second reason I heard was air bottle would not cycle doors five times (Four missiles and MB-1).
Temp is balmy 38 and gas is at $1.99. So all is well in land of WPAFB.

You mean like this? How would a misfire answer your question? Load team failed to make connection? If engine started with external air source, there was enough air for 5 cycles and two complete CG Fuel Transfers...2 each forward and aft. Other than the technicality of one missle still on the rails and the MB-1 bay empty, the picture is an accurate depiction of the aircraft. No one but a SIXER would ever pickup on this trifling defect. Want a copy of the 539th? Try this email. cthompson249@yahoo.com The Old Sarge

Tucson Reunion Update from Bobski: Dear F-106 Troops, Less than 3 months away! We hope your are in good health and hopefully are considering attending the 2019 F-106 All Troops Tucson Reunion, April 3 - 7. Below is the current list of those signed up as of 1/4/2019. According to the latest report from the Radisson Hotel there are 65 rooms reserved so far. We are near filling up our original block of 85 rooms. Also, in red below, there are several people who have reserved a room at the hotel, but have not registered with us! Everyone attending must at least pay us the $15/person Reunion registration fee. Each Veteran registered will receive the beautiful Reunion Logo Patch! Don't wait until the last minute to sign up, "like waiting for the other guy to sign up!" We have heard many regrets from those who wished they had attended previous reunions. The Boneyard Tour sign-up cutoff date is: March 1st. We are once again fortunate to have an official Air Force Band playing during our Saturday night Final Banquet, The Air Force Band of the Golden West! Remember the spectacular 32 piece AF Band we had at Nashville! So, please sign up soon! We must have all Tour head counts in by March 3, after that date it will be only on "space available basis."
Remember to check out our F-106 website with all current information details and registration forms at: www.f-106deltadart.com/Sincerely, Bob Kwiecinski (Bobski) & Dave Stiteler Co-Chairs
