Today was a good day here in the mountains of Arizona. Two old well, one MA1 technician and an old tire kicking sarge, with our wives, had lunch in Payson. Don Fletcher and his wife Pat, had lunch with Sandy and I. Don and Pat (from Aurora,CO) were in Cottonwood visiting family and drove over for lunch.

We just got back from our Southwest road trip to visit friends and family. We enjoyed having an opportunity to get together with Jim and his wife Sandy. Although Sandy had to break up the aircraft talk so we could all go to lunch. We also stopped at the California Science Center in Los Angeles to see where they will be displaying 58-0786. It will be quite awhile be for we can see that one, as they want to build a huge display where they can show the Endeavour Space Shuttle with the external tank and launch rockets and display their aircraft around it.

We also stopped at the Palm Springs Air Museum that will be the new home for 57-2509. Fred Bell was over at an air show at Chino, but his assistant Greg was kind enough to show us into the restoration area where they have it stored. He was very pleased as to its condition and completeness and he expected that they would have it on display in about 18 months time. I was very impressed with their work on the F-102 that they had on display that he said was in much worse condition when they got it. I'm glad that 509 has found a good home. I will be back to see her when she is back together. We also stopped by the Excelsior Aviation Academy up at the old George Air Force base to see 57-2543. I'm not sure what they are planning to do with that one, but it looks like that they are starting to clean it up a bit. best images for websites

Pat, I'm not on Facebook (two many ex-wives), but my wife is so we can keep track of all the kids.

Lorin I am in each of the photos..... The other guys in the top 2 photos are deceased and were among the earliest members of this forum....... Ron "THUD" Kollas and Erv Smalley... The 2 in the lower photo are genuine Six Savers and One O Wonder savers up in the North country..........

Jim, I just tuned in to see the new posting and finally got a look at you. I wouldn't have been able to tell which one you were had you not laid such a heavy hint. I think I saw a picture of Erv before though.
