Recieved word today that Roger Matthews passed away On February 12 at the age of 89. Roger was a principal field service engineer for General Dymamics on the F-106. I first met Roger at Loring in 1967 and had the pleasure of working with him for five years at Loring AFB and then again for three more years with the ANG at Otis AFB. Roger was an outstanding Tech Rep on the F-106 and I truly enjoyed working with this fine gentleman.

He arrived before our first Six touched down. He had some rough times health wise. He had his office in a corner in QC with me and was a great help with getting Unsatisfactory Reports (UR) submitted.... He would even help revise Tech Orders in the main file in the office. He loved brook trout, but hated fishing for them.. I last saw Roger the 1st of Dec '63 when I left for Misawa
